About me

Hey friend, I’m Matt Bolenbaugh, a father of two beautiful children, a bike-polo athlete; a road-biker; a mountain biker; and if you couldn’t tell, I love bikes. Whether I’m riding them, building them, or breaking them, bikes are what I eat, sleep, and breathe. Since 2006 I have been working in bike shops gradually mastering my craft. After 14 years of working for other bike shop owners I finally decided to start my own; hence, All About Bikes was born.

We all know that part of what makes the biking world so cool isn’t just the bikes, it’s the community around us that makes all of the races, trails, and events possible; and as my small midwest town gradually works its way up to becoming the Mtb. capital of the midwest, I want to be there with my community to help along the way. As we develop trails we can progress to riding clinics, then to biking events, and the sky is the limit from there! The only thing that’s certain in my mind that biking in Wausau is going to explode in the next decade!

With two master work-benches in my shop, there’s no bike I can’t fix and with an awesome community around me, there will be plenty of bikes that need fixing. So whether your bike needs a repair, a tune-up, or a set of custom wheels give me a call and we’ll get you riding in no time.
